Archives
Archives exist both to preserve historic materials and to make them available for use. The Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center has a growing archival collection related to Mari Sandoz and the Great Plains Region. For more information about the Center’s archival holdings or to make an appointment, please contact Sarah Polak, Center Director.
Using Archives: A Guide to Effective Research, published by the Society of American Archivists, addresses the second purpose by outlining the functions and procedures of archives, and is designed both for first-time archives users and scholars who have already conducted research in archives.
